My Top Five Favourite Blogs

Hey Guys!

I have been feeling a little uninspired of late and have become detached from the blogging world. I recently decided to start reading blogs again - be it my old favourites as well as some new hidden gems - and thought I would put a few of my favourites in a post for you all to see!

Sprinkle Of Glitter - This was one of the first blogs I encountered when I ventured into the blogging world a few years ago and I still keep up to date with Louise's posts to this day. Her bubbly personality is infectious and her down to earth approach make her very relatable. She also has a little girl who might just be the cutest thing I've ever seen! Look for her series of 'Motivational Monday' posts which are a great boost to get you through the week and make you feel all gooey and content!

The Beauty Guide - This is a new find although I don't know why it's taken me so long as it has such a great name! Written by Jennifer who blogs a mixture of fashion, beauty and lifestyle posts. She is not only mad about skincare and has beautiful photographs but she also taken a few OOTD photos in the lift. Love that. After reading back through pages and pages of her posts, The Beauty Guide has quickly become a favourite.

Erin's Choice - This is the blogger and friend that got me back into reading. Over the last year I ditched a cosy early night in bed reading for a quick nosey on facebook and dropping my phone on my face before I was out for the count. Erin reminded me of how nice it is to be transported into the characters world and forget everything else for a while. She reviews lots of different books by different authors so you can skip the bad ones and discover some new writers! Although Erin's choice is relatively new to the blogging world, it has already featured a variety of author interviews. Did I mention that on twitter she posts photos of Ryan Gosling?

Kingdom Of Style - I found this absolute gem not long before I found Sprinkle of Glitter. Run by Michelle and Marie, I initially loved that they are Scottish and I recognised a few places in the amazing photographs. I know nothing about fashion compared to these two which is actually pretty good because I learn something every time I visit the blog. I particularly love Michelle's style and her philosophy that it's not what you wear but how you wear it. Their simple, no fuss approach to blogging has kept them in my top favourites for a long time.

Sincerely, Jules  - To be totally honest, I don't know that much about Jules aka Julie Sarinana. The photographs are so beautiful that I find myself scrolling through them rather than reading the post! Julie's style is simple but elegant. Not only has she been posting from behind the scenes at London Fashion Week but she also designs her own range of tshirts. She is one busy lady that definitely encourages me with her posts and photos.

Why don't you go and check them out? You might just find a new favourite! Leave your favourite blogs in a comment below :)!

L'Oreal Paris 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil

Hey guys!

I'm always on the look out for new cleansers to try and any regular readers will know that the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser is my favourite! Ever since I started reading blogs I have widened my knowledge and interest in skincare and most importantly I no longer use the dreaded wipes to take off my make up! I feel that my skin has really benefited from using cleansers and toners to treat my skin properly and so I am always on the look out for new cleansers to road test. Today it is L'Oreal's turn!

I have an oily T-zone but dry skin in other areas on my face and so tend to avoid using cleansing oils as I was under the assumption they would be too greasy and sit heavy on my skin. However, since trying the No 7 Melting Gel Cleanser (review here) which was actually more like a milk/oil consistency, I changed my mind about using oils on my face and decided to give cleansing oils a proper go.

The L'Oreal Paris 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil is applied to dry skin and dissolves make up easily. Most days I wear quite minimal make up and it removes even my waterproof mascara effortlessly. The oil doesn't slide off my skin and a small amount goes a long way. It's easy to massage into the face and doesn't feel greasy. It has a subtle peachy smell and is suitable for all skin types. As soon as I rinse my face with water, the oil turns to a milky consistency so it's easy to remove. I have sensitive skin and was concerned I may wake up with slight redness but instead my skin felt smooth and hydrated. I had a few bumps on my forehead threatening to turn into spots but they have completely disappeared since using the cleansing oil!

I have used the cleanser quite a few times now and it has barely made a dent in the bottle. I picked it up in Boots who are doing a 1/3 off on selected L'Oreal Paris facial skincare products at the moment. So at just a smidge over £5, it's great value for money.

I hope you enjoyed today's post! I've got out of the way of blogging but I'm trying to get back into the groove so please bear with me and keep your eyes peeled for more posts soon!
